LAUREN WALLER

Lauren Waller is a flame haired singer/songwriter from Los Angeles.  Or as her Twitter states in her own words "SoCal Ginger".  With two E.P.'s to date entitled "Perhaps" and "No Names Here", after hearing this lady I cannot wait for the debut album.

Combining the quirky look of Bjork and Paloma Faith, some forceful lyrics akin to Alanis Morissette or PJ Harvey and the Pop Rock musical backing of Echobelly or Sleeper, Lauren has a lot to offer in a unique Alternative style.  Her songs range from Rock as in "Breathe" from the first E.P. "Perhaps" to Morcheeba-like Trance Pop as in the second E.P.'s track "Secret Garden".

Check out the unusual but brilliant cover of Black's "Wonderful Life", it is a nice tribute to Colin Vearncombe.  Lauren actually reminds me of one of Holland's most underrated bands, Krezip.  A variety of genres all in one bundle but so well composed the songs are extremely engaging to the ear and you just want to hear more and hear something different every listen.

"100 Sleeps" on the "No Names Here" E.P. is a favourite of mine, loads of guitar and borders on Grunge Rock.  This lady could be huge, she has everything going for her to appeal to all lovers of music around the world.  Check out the stunning new single "Sunshine"out now.

THERE WOULD NORMALLY BE A COUPLE OF VIDEOS HERE BUT FOR SOME REASON THE YOUTUBE VIDEOS ARE BLOCKED IN UK
