Ten Millennia are a six piece funky grooves band from Yorkshire.  Consisting of Rosie (vocals), Wayne (keys), Russell (sax), Rich (guitar), Colin (bass) and Jules on drums.  Their self titled debut album was released in 2017.  For the last few years the band have toured and played gigs all over the country supporting the likes of The Corrs and Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.

The back story of the band started when a man called Derek advertised in a newsagent window asking for "aging rock and rollers" to get in touch.  Drummer Jules got in touch and the band was born.  Derek has since suffered from a long debilitating illness so no longer plays with the band.  However, they continually dedicate their music to recognise the founding member and the affection they still have for him, which is nice.

The band's music is a light Funk and is reminiscent of the early 70s grooves of Earth, Wind & Fire and the like.  Rosie's vocals compliment the backing superbly and it gives off this really nice pure sound.  The members of the band have familiar backgrounds, Rosie was once a fashion model and the rest of the band have played with such household names as The Stylistics, Martha Reeves, The Temptations, Candi Staton, The Four Tops and Corinnes Bailey Rae!

The debut album was produced by Andy Wright, who produced albums by Simple Minds and Annie Lennox and has worked with Natalie Imbruglia and Shakespears Sister.  Wright was in it from the start when the band started recording their second album in 2018 entitled, "Love Won't Wait", again incorporating that cool funky Pop sound which evokes memories of the Disco Funk era of the 70s and early 80s.
